Questions

What is Songcase?

Songcase is where musicians keep every version of every song: mixes, stems, notes, lyrics, split sheets and project backups, in one place on the web and in Lucid Lab for Mac. It is made by Lucid Labs.

How is it different from Google Drive or Dropbox?

Those keep files. Songcase knows they are songs: versions in order, A/B between them, notes at a moment in the track, lyrics with rhymes, split sheets, and DAW project backups that store an unchanged file once.

Which DAWs can it back up?

Logic Pro, Ableton Live and Pro Tools projects, automatically from Lucid Lab on your Mac, or any project folder you drop on the page.

Do I need the Mac app?

No. Songcase works in any browser. Backing up as you save and sending each export in as a new version need Lucid Lab on a Mac.

Can I use my Dropbox or Google Drive?

Yes. Link them to open, play and write notes on the audio already in them, without moving a file. Files that stay there don’t use your Songcase space.

Which languages do the rhymes work in?

English, Chinese (Mandarin), Korean and Japanese. Rhymes are worked out in your browser or on your Mac; your lyrics are not sent anywhere for them.

Who can hear my songs?

Only you. Nothing in Songcase is public. A split sheet’s signing link shows the sheet, not the audio.

How much is it?

Songcase comes with Lucid Lab Pro, with 200 GB for your songs and backups. 14 days free, then $14.99 a month or $129 a year, renewing until you cancel. A card starts the trial; cancel online any time, and before day 14 you pay nothing.
